The KHS-Maxxis-JLVelo Cycling Team is proud to announce that Ulises Castillo will be joining the Jelly Belly Professional Cycling Team for the remainder of the 2016 racing season. This is an opportunity that will present Ulises with the chance to race the Tour of Utah as well as the Tour of Alberta. He will begin racing with Jelly Belly this week at the UCI Cascade Cycling Classic.
Ulises has been an integral part of our program since 2015 as he has led the team on and off the bike. His gracious attitude and pension for hard work has not only allotted him many podium finishes, but help to foster the growth and development of his KHS teammates.
The team is very proud of Ulises for his accomplishments and for receiving the nod to join the professional ranks. Following in line with the teams mission of developing the next wave of top-tier athletes, this transition is a move the whole program supports. The Jelly Belly program will be a great home for Ulises and we are grateful for the opportunity presented to him. Ulises is our second athlete to move to Jelly Belly, as Devan Dunn made the transition in 2013.
